CoCoS started out as a interconnection platform connecting devices together that had no interconnetion capabilities. This capability still remains one of the tasks of CoCoS but evolved over the years. Devices a added to CoCoS with Connectors and all operate in the same way inside the CoCoS environment. Without any hardware depended knowledge intelligence can be added by using scripts and things that all interact with devices in the same standardized way.

Even better, an script or application that works with an Siemens PLC and SIP server can also work for an Commend VirtuoSIS and Moxa IO modules.
